Extended Respite

Advocates compassionate, supportive staff provide planned, overnight respite for clients who struggle with a variety of challenges. Respite gives families the time and space required to recharge and center – ready to face whatever life brings.

Overnight respite care services are provided for duration of 72 hours or less at one time. The participant and their primary caregiver work with Advocates Care Coordinator to select the respite care provider and establish the duration of care. The respite care provider is trained and capable of providing the required level of care and supervision needed to maintain safety, meet basic needs, and build a trusting, supportive relationship. Respite care services help strengthen the participant’s natural supports by easing the daily stress and care demands for the family, or other primary caregiver(s), on a short-term basis.
