Academic Support Program

The Academic Team is available to partner with schools, counties, and parents to reach effective and desired goals for students struggling in traditional school settings because of behavior issues. AHTL develops curriculum based on the need of the client or works directly with a student’s school to execute an IEP.

Advocates collaborates with CESA #6 to provide a broader range of services for children, families and schools.

AHTL also provides a summer academic program to support and maintain at-risk youth when school is out. The Academic Team works closely with school district personnel to create an effective plan toward successful summer academic achievement.

We have experienced success with all ages and varieties of presenting issues – no matter how great the challenge.  For some students, we work with districts around graduation planning and vocational skills including opportunities to participate in work related experience and post-secondary education planning.

Our Academic Team includes:

  • Certified teaching staff
  • Certified Special Education staff
  • Master’s level academic supervision
  • Master’s Level social work supervision
  • Master’s level clinical consultant
  • Individual case manager
  • Behavioral Support Specialists
